What's grinding my gears today? Well the fact that the oil spill, the worst in US if not world history has all but been forgotten. WTF??? This sucks. BP seem to be not on the news anymore, and they need to be. They are getting away with it. They should be fined $$$BILLIONS$$$ for their failure to the world. Only in the last few weeks have deep water corals been found dead near the site. It's disgusting.
Well GTG is in West Springfield, VA today. At a night club called Jaxx, on tour with Firewind, Powerglove and the Absence. It's been a cool day. Got to do Yoga this morning and also visit a Whole Foods and buy some non junk food.
Firewind have at their helm, Gus G, the new guitar wizard for Ozzy Osbourne. Great guy and a good friend. After some doubts yesterday, feel good today about being on the road. Its going well with a good bunch of people on the road with us. We miss Petros the bass player, who sadly couldn't come on this run.
Off to NYC tomorrow where coming out to the show will be none other than "The Randy Gregg" formerly of Thin Lizzy, Dee Snider, Angel, The Lauren Harris band, and currently rockin it with Queen tribute band "Almost Queen". Randy is none other than the "best" And a huge STAR WARS and PIZZA fan after my own heart. Doing the Ancona and New Park pizza taste tomorrow to really see what the best pizza I have ever had is. Loving my work Randy! Lovin yours more!
GTG also says Happy Birthday to our touring brother from the UK Olly " The Sheiser" Smith. By all means Olly.......By all means!

New A7X Album
Really kinda angry about the Oil Spill in the Gulf, and it's actually grinding my gears pretty everyday!
OK, so the new A7X album will be out soon. I for one am really looking forward to it. I know it's going to be amazing. The band have had a really up and down year. They so tragically lost their drummer "The Rev" Xmas 2009. This is the worst thing that can ever happen to a band. Lose a member and best friend. He was so young, and so talented. He will always be missed. The band went on to record what will probably be their best album to date, and with Jimmy's drumming hero, Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater. I know that Mike will have done the most amazing job. He can be seen this summer on tour with DT supporting Iron Maiden, then with A7X during August/Sept/Oct.

Very surprised and unexpected. We thank you Thrillist!

Health (who) Care(s) Reform????
Ok, so what grinds my gears today is the fact that there even needed to be a debate on Healthcare reform. Simply being a good person and a caring person means you should want everyone to have access to proper healthcare! To oppose it is wrong, both ethically and morally. It is also wrong in the eyes of all gods, even though they don't exist. Surely if there were a god, he would want all the beings, made in the image of himself, and who he loves so much, not to suffer??? Right? So i'm thankful that a ruling has been made that will allow many millions, who do not currently have Healthcare, to now get the help they so rightly deserve and need.
Ooooof! Jeez what a waffle that was.
Ok, so now onto our stuff, the fun stuff. GTG now has launched its new brand of T-shirts. We have them available online. Please go check em out. We love em and we think you will too. If you are in the UK and want to buy them, they will be available at www.grindstore.com
thanks

NEW NEW NEW!!
You know what grinds my gears today? Now I don't want to seem too politically motivated, but don't China seem like a real bunch of whining idiots?? I mean, they can't take criticism of any kind, and when some does come their way, then they warn "oh this is going to harm our relationship" "don't say that", "don't say this". It all seems a bit stupid to me. And now they warn that if President Obama meets with the Dalai Lama, then this was also harm US - China relations. WTF??? One of the most peaceful people on the planet. All because he's Tibetan. Isn't that like them basically saying "Hey, you can't be friends with people we don't like, or we won't be your friend" ?? Jeez!!!
OK, so rant over. Just letting you know, we are very excited about our new designs that are coming out. Keep watching this space, and the website for when they expected, but I can tell you it will be very soon. There are some real funny ones in the mix.
Thanks

Golden Globes update
Lots of people came The Sampler area at The Golden Globe Celebrity Lounge yesterday. Celeb Chef Kai Chase (MJ, Obama, Jamie Foxx) & one of the ladies from 'Girls Next Door' made off with Girliepants undies. Plenty of others came through including some of the cast from Twilight, Glee, The office & Lost to name a few. Many more expected today. I'll have pics up next week.
If you hadn't heard already, I was asked to do the celebrity gift bag artwork for the Oscars. Keep checking back for a sneak preview later this month!

RIP The Rev
Well it's a new year. Sorry it has to start on a sad note.
Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan left us on Monday 28th of Dec. He will be missed by everyone that knew him and by the legions of fans of Avenged Sevenfold, the band in which Jimmy played drums for.
I didn't know Jimmy for a long time, having only shared a few months of touring with him in the summer of 2008, but he was always a very cool guy to be around, and was always decent towards myself and the band i was touring with.
Just want the guys in A7X to know that our thoughts are with them, and I only have good memories of my time with them, and of The Rev.
Take care my friends.
We love you Jimmy
RIP
(Greg GTG)
